I watched this anime not too long ago. I immediately threw around some ideas in my head, but I settled on this one, as soon as I saw this German World War 1 propaganda poster: link

The illustration of Tanya was created by Shinobu Shinotsuki. The text was intentionally blurry to match the look of smudged ink.Quite happy with this one overall.
