When you adjust the size of a picture never go bigger only smaller. So when getting images get LARGE images.
Also when adjusting the image size hold the shift key so they don't get sketched.
Typography (text) is important. Pick a typeface (font) that fits the movie. You picked a army looking typeface and a grunge typeface. Neither of them work.
The type in the logo shouldn't be matched in body text. Look at real covers, all the type is done in a basic and simple typeface. Only use creative type for things like quotes or slogans. Try to stick to the typefaces on your computer, trust me you can make great design with those typesfaces.

I agree with Trev. Also when making movie covers or game covers, the title should never be at the bottom. It should be high up or in the middle etc but never low.
