I decided that I was happy with this as the finished design. I feel that any more added on would be too much.
As far as I know, nobody has done a box quite like this one. I used the Source Software Development Kit to create everything on the box, discluding the template. I made a map in Hammer, which is the map making tool that Valve themselves use. I loaded the map in Portal 2 and used console commands to float around the map to take screenshots. Those screenshots are what makes this box.
Love the front, looks sharp and clean (I'm asuming is metal), but I actually don't like the gray on the back.
Plus the fact that the front is seen from some angle and the back is seen straight from above disturbs me, maybe it makes the box loose some of its flow.
#2, I'm not very good with presentation. I thought of a few ideas of the presentation but overall they just took away from the box, so I just said "fuck it" and left it blank. I'd rather have no presentation rather than a shitty presentation that makes the box look worse.
I won't lie, this is seriously lazy. If you were going to go with this design, which I really don't like, you should have at least made sure everything was of the absolute highest quality which, it isn't.
It's a nice box, but I feel that it would work better with the original Portal, because of the graffiti on the back. But still, that's a real minor complaint...
I get what you were going for, though in this case i don't really think the simplicity on this one. no offense, it's well made but i'm just not feeling it.
I liked your idea of reuing Valve's maps from the actual game to make the box. Wish my video card could support this game as well (the game crashes here)

It's not my favorite from you. I just think the colors are too dark and the design is too simple to be interesting.

I feel you could have expanded on the graffiti-like concept on the back. Maybe even brought it over to the front.
I understand the intentions here, but it's not for me.

#8, The screenshots I take are only 1920 x 1080, so I was limited by how big I could make everything.

I love this but like sd1833 said; you could have expanded the graffiti idea. Overall, maybe a little too simple but amazingly well put together.

the X in the middle of the aperture circle reminds me of The symbol from marble hornets.

#12, I didn't even know Marble Hornets had a 'symbol'. Could you link me to it?

Nice box, but why is everything so dark?
