This was done almost entirely from scratch. The biggest part I got from somewhere else was the Guitar Hero image on the box and cartridge (which I heavily modified the shadowing and coloring to make it look more like an 80s video game box). If some of it looks funny or simplistic, do a Google search for Atari 5200 boxes, overlays and cartridges. This is pretty much what they look like. There aren't any templates out there for this, so I had to make them all myself. The whole thing took about 6-7 hours of non-stop work. I like it far more than any of the other boxes I've done. I'm particulary happy that most of what you see in the image was done by myself as opposed to using other people's art.

#2 agreed. I particually like the button sleeves and the image editing on the box. Gives it a real authentic look. Nice one.

#2, #3, #4, Thanks for the kind words and the favs. This box now has as many favs as my last two combined.

I forgot to point out in my original post that I picked the Atari 5200 because it's the first video game system my family owned. I picked Guitar Hero because I'm a big fan, and because I knew I could mock up a screenshot easily by hand.

As a side note, of the dozen or so games we owned on the 5200, we never actually used the controller pad overlays since none of the games we had actually required using the number pad.

This is awesome. It's not put together very well, but I like the idea of it enough to fav.

#6, Is there any chance you could be more specific as to what you mean by "It's not put together very well?"

Updated. This was the first box I ever did a "3D" presentation of. It lloked kind of odd, so I did an update attempting to fix it. It's not perfect, but it does look better now IMO.
