I tried, it looks uglier every time I look at it.
Anyway, great game, recently replayed on Wii. Should I stick around to try some more boxes or is this a sign my vgboxart "career" is over? You be the judge!
This is no reason to leave the site. It's not the best work I've seen from you but you still have plenty of potential here.
My only issue really is the different brightness/colors between the characters. Leon has a strong blue tone and high contrast, while Ashley looks very dark and desaturated, with a more brown tone. That and the rendering of Leon's gunfire is pretty weak.
None of these are major issues, and can definitely be fixed.
Everyone makes mistakes. That's perfectly natural, but a true artist would try to improve on their work learning from these mistake rather than to wallow on their mistakes.
Leon's saturated blue tone differs from the rest of the box. It's easy to fix and not a big issue. The gunfire's opacity doesn't make much sense either. However, the concept of the box is pretty good.
Those who actually say for you to stop when you are honestly trying to improve are people who like to put others down. Don't listen to them.
Its kind of ability, but Im more concerned about time consumption. Being a full time undergraduate student studying engineering takes up a fair chunk of my time :P

Definitely not your best but you should stay around. You've had better work.

Stay away from heavy filters is my advice.
