Radiohead being one of my favorite bands, I thought I might as well start my 2010 boxart career with In Rainbows. Creativity was pushed to the limits here, experimenting with colors, textures, and die-cutting to make my best box yet, IMO.
I've listened to this album so many times that making a boxart for it seemed like the only way to express my intense love for it. The darkness, the seductiveness, the fear of mortality--I tried to portray in my cover
This box consists of two parts: the cover and the slipcover. To understand the box, both must be viewed. (Version 1: slipcover / Version 2: cover) The "In Rainbows" title in V1 is die-cut (cut out) so you see a little of the cover.
Enjoy, and credit goes to Grunge Textures (link) for the splatter.
What Death said. I probably wouldn't have faved just this version, but looking back, I'm not sure I could ever recreate this. I have no idea how you made this. So kudos for awesomeness. THIS is how you capture essence.
I was keeping an eye out for this when you posted a WiP. The Slipcover alone is fantastic, and works better than the original art (with all due respect to Donwood's artwork).
The album itself is not my personal favourite, but it still is really great.
Looking forward to your OK Computer cover too, El.

You've just inspired me to do OK Computer, my all-time favourite Radiohead album. I might just do Absolution too. Damn, this is fantastic!

Thanks peeps.
Updated with new presentation. I made the slipcover slightly transparent as well. Thanks del337er for the idea!

Awesome job...that cutout effect is simple, yet hits hard. Probably your best work to date, IMO.
