Hey everyone,
Here is my entry for round 2 of the VGBA Cup. There is quite literally no material vet for Fallout: New Vegas, so this design is entirely custom, but I planned on doing things that way regardless. :)
I brainstormed ideas on exactly how I wanted to put this one together for the better part of a week, and came up with a few different concept drawings before I eventually thought of the idea of Vault Boy playing cards, and decided that I wanted to make that the major emphasis in the design. I used the concept art from fallout 3 to pull the various shades and tones of color I wanted to use, to make certain things contained the dusty and desolate air we would expect from Fallout. As I was coloring, things started to take on a strong balance with green tones, which I thought looked really cool, so I continued to work with that.
Since I'm not certain about any possible features or gameplay mechanics to be had in New Vegas, I just winged it. I came up with the idea that there might be some kind of group of people in the city that eat humans exclusively, and based that loose concept around the unnamed character on the front. The bloody card in his mouth is to tie it all together. :)

I like the way you made the back. The front however is way too cartoonish! The realism is what seperates Fallout from games such as Borderlands. I like the actual cover better.
