If anything, that's what I wanted this box to be. Now, looking at the other Skate boxes, I can say I've succeded in that area, and even a couple more. When working on this 15th box of mine, I made sure to get the point across: This game is fun. I also tried portraying that feel of Skate: 'you, your board, and the world'. The simplicity of the design was critical, as the game has a very simple feel to it.
Hopefully the front concept isn't too weird. XD I personally think it really adds to the idea of 'you and your board'.. and hopefully you think so too.
As always, best enjoyed in full. There are a lot of details you'll miss if you don't view the full-size version.
P.S. The temp is half by me and half by Techne, and special thanks to my mentor! This box wouldn't be the same without you. (You know who you are.) ;)
Skate is better than any Tony Hawks game. It can actually relate to real skating. Instead of being able to grind any piece of crap, and having ramps just about everywhere *COUGH TONY HAWKS COUGH* This game alows you to explore a city, find a spot, and repeaditly go there and do and skate. A lot like what real skaters do. This box portrays the style of the game. My only dislike: I'm not too fond of the saturated colours on the front. Maybe dumb it down a bit.
Yes.. that front concept is weird -- but weird is what I like! ;) Everything about it is well cool -- and top marks for all the correct legal text, logos, etc. excellent! ;)
Love it. The way the logo covers his eyes gives you the idea that "You choose who you want to be".
Top notch stuff, great attention to detail. You're quickly becoming one of my favourite authors Qwerty. Keep it up. ;)
