Back From Ban! Anyways this is why I first joined this site, I am a Gamemaker and this is one of my fan games. Metamorphosis is a Horror/Comedy/Shooter game that I am working on at the moment. No ESRB because it isn't an official game.
that's a picture from a Yu-Gi-Oh! card if the same name... you can tell the top and bottom are cut off because it's a square shape. there's no dev/rating logos and the template doesn't say Wii for some reason. I know it's not a real game but that doesn't mean you shouldnt make it look real.
#2, Did you read his comment? There's a reason he doesn't have an ESRB rating, and Flowen is likely the "developer" logo. Even if he didn't explain why there's no rating, that's a horrible critique, since conforming to a certain commercial standard has nothing to do with talented design principals.
As for the box...well, I don't condone covering a picture with filters and calling it done. Also, I think you could've picked a better image than an ugly (One of THE ugliest at that) Yu-Gi-Oh! card.
Overall not bad, especially if you're a beginner, but it could certainly use some work.
#3, i know he said it's because it's not real, that's why i said: "I know it's not a real game but that doesn't mean you shouldn't make it look real". Just saying...
My point was that things like logos and ratings aren't required to make a box look real. Some people don't want to design a box that looks like it's being commercially sold. I frequently consider creating boxes that wouldn't (Or don't, in some cases) have any kind of commercial blemishes. In my opinion it degrades the quality of it.
I apologize for whining about your comment, I just get so tired of people jumping straight to logos/ratings/etc. as a means of critiquing, when in fact it isn't. Pasting a logo in the corner of an image has nothing to do with design talent or skill.
Anyways though, what is wrong with using a yu-gi-oh card? I tried to make it blend into the background but as stated on my Gra-DS box (My best one that got no comments) the blend tool isn't working on imageready.
i never said there was anything wrong with using a yu-gi-oh card. i just said you did use one. gosh, why must everyone automatically assume i'm saying the box is bad by just stating that you used one picture... jeez

#8, If you weren't critiscing or helping me whats the point of pointing out it's from a Yu-Gi-Oh! Card?
Also just in case anyone gets the wrong idea: I don't like Yu-Gi-Oh!
