I think maybe if you add a shadow coming from the spine cast over the back, it would look better

I had some problems with the back. First there was nothing behind the text and the sword, but I thought it would look worse than this. I think all in all the concept of the back is good.

IDK why, but your backs look always kind of boring. Try to make them as artistic as your fronts always look.

I'm not using one here. This is just the official Wii U logo. I just recolored it.
