What if there were collector's bundles in 1987? They wouldn't have come with CD's, thats for sure. Dang thats a lot of gold!!

Thank you all for your kind words! @Unknown Flames, that made me crack up!! I was inspired by the recent Skyward Sword bundle to re-create the same set for the original. I went back and forth on a lot of things and ended up with this. I know I could spend more time than I need tweaking this but I have another box set that I want to get started on. I wanted to stay true to the original while using logos/type from the newer games. Let me know if you guys want the PSD, I could upload it to my site. Thanks again!

O_O Omg, this is SOOOO fantastic. Retro but modern. I otally like the NES cartridge in gold, the shield of Hyrule, the gold design, the controller, the music cassette (!!) and the idea totally ROCKS. The front of your box really kicks ass, I like the muddy brushes you used to give the gold a bit of a tattered look.

For me, it's a perfect box! I would have liked to see the back though. Maybe there I would like to see Link in order to differ a bit with the colours (the blue of the shield on the cartridge is really slick)

Thanks man, I though about doing a back but I really like the simplicity of it all. Plus, I was going for a straight rip of the Skyward Sword bundle. Everywhere I found pictures of the bundle it just showed the front.

It looks really nice, awesome job!

The only little nitpick I have is that the logo on the bundle itself looks a bit odd, as if it's not in perspective. Did you put it on after making it 3d?

Again, this is great man. Awesome!

I re-did the logo on the front. Let me know what you think.

Not bad. The image quality is relatively low in full view though, and the logo is at a strangely skewed angle, but otherwise it's quite a nice design.

I didn't think the image quality looked bad; what part in particular? I see what people are saying about the logo; it looks like it should be rotated a few degrees clockwise. I might just fix that and re-upload it when I get the time.

@Construc A few areas in particular appear blurry in comparison to others. This may be the result of the 3D presentation, though. It's nothing major.

@Pleiades I tried to get good high-res pics of the controller, cassette, and cartridge but those might have gotten a little distorted in the skewing process. Thanks for the feedback.

WOW! a gold music cassete, a must fave only for that (as I'm not really into ZELDA and his legendary heroic thingy) just not my type of game, but I really liked playing Mario Bros., Duck Hunt and that sort of stuff back in the days though.

Reminds me of when I used a casette as a sountrack for a game in a box, nearly 3 years ago.

You could've made a back, and I'm not really liking the text on the box's side, makes it look like a cereal box.

Wow, your the first one to get it. The bundle comes with a box of Zelda cereal. Corn puff Triforce pieces and marshmallow rupees!

This looks WAY too nice for a 1987 item. XD The cassete and the controller totally seal the deal on this one for me (I would LOVE to have a controller that looks like that). I think the box is a bit too chunky, though; all that stuff could fit into a slimmer box than that if you wanted it to. Maybe if it included an art book...?

Yeah, I was thinking that there would be a map, instruction book, maybe an art book in there; that's why the box is bigger. It took a lot of time just to make the controller and the cassette so I left it at that.
