This marks my first submission under this name. You should have no trouble realizing who I was before.
This is in celebration of Final Fantasy XIII-2's release on Tuesday. I would have submitted it then, but I'll likely be too busy playing the game itself to do anything else.
Like past projects, this is custom artwork (aside from the faded image of Lightning on the back) in the sense that I took images and recreated them with the pen tool, giving them more of a 2D animation look. This was somewhat more difficult than in the past, since I had mostly only 3D renders to work with.
The back text reads: "When reaching for the future, we sometimes fall to the past, to events that cannot be changed". It's a quote of Lightning's spoken in the opening moments of the demo.

I've had thoughts of creating a new account in the past, partly due to never liking the username I'd chosen. The rebirth of the site seemed as appropriate a time as any.

Absolutely stunning work. I adore the custom artwork and while the typography is a bit simple its incredibly effective in the design you have working. If I had one suggestion to make it would be to lower the opacity of Lightning on the back.

I thought you were Throavium until you posted this, then I knew right away who you were. Anyway, I quite like the design itself, and the custom artwork is nice, but I'm personally not a fan of the art style used. Too colorful and cartoony for me.

I understand. The artwork was originally heavily detailed and realistic, so the change to something simpler can be a bit jarring. Thank you for commenting, and honestly at that.

I completely missed this. Like I said before, the artwork is absolutely phenomenal and complements the Final Fantasy style perfectly. Very awesome job on this, it would look amazing as a printable.

Beautiful work man, love the cel-shaded look to it. It's pretty amazing what you managed to do. My only problem is that the text could be a bit easier to read.
