Happy New Year!!!!
To start 2012, I thought this would start the hype into my book's release. 169 days and counting. The journey started for me on February 2, 2002. Almost a decade in planning, and I'm almost there. The journey for everyone else, begins in just over 6 months.

I like the magical kind of feel you've achieved on this box, it looks awesome. Nice shades of blue as well.

I like the artwork and strong, blue color scheme. The logo, though, is not clicking with me. It looks like you took a previously made logo, and darkened it / lowered the contrast, and that in combination with the yellow stroke and really, really large drop shadow, don't mesh well with the artwork it's placed against.
That's really the only qualm I have with this, and I think if you were to go with something simpler, or cleaner in a way, it would be an improvement.

To be Honest, I kind of Second what #5 said. The 'ORION' bit is too dark and only discernable when seen up close. Something closer to the ORION you had in the original logo (Orion ATSOK) will be better.

#6, I'm going through the motions with the logo right now, I'll likely go with something much cleaner.
