Best cover for Round 2 in my opinion. Extremely stylish and perfectly retro. The effects are nice and the colors with the minimalism look superb.

I like everything about it except the silhouette of Pit on the front, it's clearly a modern Pit render and really noticeable.

I agree with Pan. Everything else is great, but modern Pit was the first thing I noticed, given that retro Pit was so cartoonish. Nice work for two hours, though.

Even though you could hypothetically say that an artist was capable of creating a silhouette that looks like modern Pit, the fact that we recognize it kind of takes away the impact the cover has. If you were to have found a different image of a cherub or Icarus, I think it would have looked better, but this is still perfectly acceptable.

I really love it, and I don't mean to nit-pick (And I'm by no means a design-history expert) but this style was a lot more prominent in the 60s and 70s, but not so much in the 80s. It was also used for books a lot more than video games.

I'm not saying it's impossible that a cover that looked like this would come out for the NES in the 80s, it just seems unlikely.

It looks absolutely fantastic, though. I wish I had the texture you used for box.

Really nice, though the modern style silhouette takes away from the retro style of the box.

#9, This style of silhouette usage was huge in the 70's. It's not modern at all. Most modern silhouette boxes take inspiration from the (very) retro silhouette style of the 60's/70's.

The use of modern Pit really hurts the front. Other than that this is quite nice.

Updated with a new render for Pit. I think it looks a lot more authentic now. :)

I think the improvement made on the front helped the box a lot.

Glad you fixed Pit. It looks so much more authentic this way.

This holds such an authentic 70's feel. Taking the concept further than most, you've come up with one of the more distinct retro covers on the site.
