I tried to do this same cover many months ago, I got selfish and impatient and canceled it, and I deleted it from my computer. This time I was able to fit in as much characters that I could think of that had a usable 3D render. The front is plain but I couldn't come up with any other ideas. A lot of the renders are color edited and darkness edited even though you can't tell so everyone matches lighting wise.
Toejam was hard to find because the artwork for Toejam & Earl III is rare, I was able to render him out and use him. The middle screenshot was made from scratch, it looks half-assed but a lot of work and time went into it as well as finding renders and making a character roster.
Many of the characters were obscure ideas that I wanted to execute, and as well from suggestions in the WIP thread.
You could say that the entire cover is uninspired, many of the ideas for the back came from the Smash Bros. official, this game is a Sega version of brawl in HD for the most part.
tleeart suggested that Ristar should be in even though I considered it before but couldn't find any artwork of him that wasn't in 16-bit. Tim made his own Ristar for the cover and credit goes to him for it.
Yoshistar made a screenshot for this cover along time ago and lucky for me it was never deleted from where he uploaded it. I was able to use it, credit to him for the screenshot.
Credit to everyone who suggested a character.
Credit to Seth for the logo.
Credit to Sega for their original series of characters and game series.
In before, "Where is this character"?
In before, "Too many Sonic characters on the front".
I would NEVER question the fact that Bayonetta is standing on nothing. We're talking about Bayonetta here. She can do whatever she pleases.
I was so happy to see some Toejam & Earl love. I used to play the first one all the time, even though I didn't really understand what was going on at times.
Oh Alex Kidd, where are you? Dear God, if they made this game, I would so get it, to see who would be owned in a fight, Sonic the mascot of SEGA, or Alex Kidd the original Mascot of Sega. XD
The final outcome looks really quite good. The middle screenshot is a bit uninspired, if only because it's almost an exact copy of the image above it. Otherwise, nice work once again.
I admire the fact that it's custom made, I only felt a different menu screen would be better suited since a "character selection" is more or less already on the back cover.
When are you gonna increase through the ranks to atleast an 8 or 9. I mean, your boxes just keep getting better and better and you deserve to go higher for all your efforts put into these. For example of your successful box is this. Your giving what the people want and I respect you for that. I also hope everyone could benefit like you and follow on to your footsteps.
Keep up the good work!

#39, I could care less whether people think you are Watson or not, but that is incredibly rude. Don't do that, man. You just lost a good deal of a chance of people, including me, respecting you.
Great job here, though I personally think the front looks too empty somehow, maybe due to the fact that there's quite a lot of background portions visible through the holes between the characters. Also not really fond of the screenshots' borders.
#41, He lost a chance? So you mean there was ever a chance? :P
Yeah! First fav! You know I love this, I don't have much to say. I love the custom screens and all the work that went into this.

#13, I don't understand.

#14, He's saying that since you have a set of character icons above the screens, it seems redundant to have a character select screen as a screenshot.
I don't think I agree since those portraits in the screen shouldn't even be possible to notice details.
There you have it, though.
[ Reply ]
Edit - I can see the portraits on the screen fine.
Even though I wouldn't personally make a menu screen as a sample screen, I appreciate it since it's a custom piece.

#15: Yes, that's what I meant.
I admire the fact that it's custom made, I only felt a different menu screen would be better suited since a "character selection" is more or less already on the back cover.

Nevertheless I put a lot of work into the screenshot, not ignoring the redundancy but the two screenshots took a lot of work.

now this should be segas next idea. Awesome box FTW!

This really made me want to make a fantasy fighting box -- do you mind if I do?

Again, looks perfect.

It looks great! I like it very much. The Back is certainly entertaining. 15/10. Maybe SEGA could make this game.

Great stuff, the clouds look a little weird, and I think I would have arranged the front's characters different.. but it's still pretty damn nice.
