This is a good start I think. The back needs a little more work though. A little too plain. Credits are crushed a little. And the biggest issue is that you needed to do something to the front of it to make it yours. Its just a wallpaper and a logo on a template. Nothing wrong with that but it wont get you anywhere. But a good start.
#2, agreed. How the description is on the back detracts slightly, but as a whole, it's just the kind of style I really love. It's lite on details and not cluttered, the front is a fairly beautiful image, and the back lets you know what you need to know and that is it.
#1, While I agree that they could edit the image and do more with it, there's no rule that says they have to. In fact, many games just use the promotional art (wallpapers, posters) as the box art. I know we strive to do more, but sometimes simplicity is better.
My biggest issue lays with the text on the back. Alignment issues can be tough, but it really needs to be fixed.
Despite the image quality being incredibly low, there's something oddly appealing about this. Specifically the back.
Cleaning up with some new artwork (higher quality, that is) and fixing the text alignment (not only too large, but way too close to the legal info), this could look rather nice.

If you aligned the description on the back, and made it a smaller font, this would be near perfect.
I don't know. I really like it.
