Well, I wanted it to be simple. Not busy, straight to the point of what Mario Kart is - a racing game with crazy items.
I couldn't make them bigger because my intention was to have the person in last place (Bowser) at the very back, away from everyone else to show the difficulty the game can bring, but with the blue shell to show the recovery, and pain that can be caused to anyone, even at the front.
#6, Thanks. I went with red because it's the colour most would think of when thinking of Mario, and also because it's the official logo colour, but each to their own :)

#5, I don't understand. If you were trying to show that mario kart was "crazy", wouldn't you try to make the box crazy to show that? The simplicity is the complete opposite of mario kart.
