Outstanding sir. In comparison to the piece that influenced you, this is spot on, and just as effective. I also really like how it's composed more as a poster than a box art.
Nicely done. I'd love to see the pencil lines cleaned up and disguised so it looks less like a sketch that got colored over and more like a painting, but it's still great, especially for typical standards here.
I also really like the "art gallery" presentation, very clever, but still minimal and non-distracting.
#13, All of those things are unnecessary. I don't understand that mentality that it has to be raped by legal text and become a company's whore in order to have some means of validity.
I hate to be the one to always hate on every bodies hard work but I hope my C&C helps you in some way, maybe? With that said I honestly am not very impressed and from what little I saw in your WIP I was expecting something much more grand.
The color pallet on your piece is noticeably different from the original and I think because of this it doesn't have nearly have as much flare. Also your light source looks kind of funny. I'm guessing the goldish glow around the feathers are the light shining through the transparent ends? It looks like the drawing was cut out from a yellow BG and was adapted onto the ground.
My final gripe is that it still has an assembled look. With the amount of filters out there I think you could have did some tweaking to let it all flow with an effect that makes it look like it was painted. Nothing heavy but the current texture this piece has just makes parts of it clash in my eyes.
I'm not going to get on your case about a back or a template but in all honesty I thought u were recreating the Japanese ICO cover only adapted for The Last Guardian.
At this point it just looks like some ok fan art to me with some bland text on top. Personally not really feeling this.
It all began with this:

That image might be one of the reasons why I even bothered making boxarts at all. Before fancy presentation, templates, corporate logos there was ART.
For those of you who want to check the porcess of making this probably have or still can visit the WiP thread. Thanks to all those who helped.
I'm happy with the results, and hope you like this work. This was definitely a labour of love for me. ;)

I agree with you. One question: are the edges of the logo supposed to be irregular like that? Great job overall. I love the presentation.

Incredible, you fit the style of the artist so well and still managed to incorporate your own.

I'm sorry, no. There's no template, no developer logos, no effects.

The box is cool, but I agree with TheSlyder.
So you drew this, right? It's a pretty amazing drawing.
