As i under The Criterion Collection is for "important classic and contemporary films" only but still i decided to do 'Casino Royale' which in many years could be considered a "important classic" As James Bond gets older it becomes alot more modern so i felt a classic traditional design would work and fit under the 'Criterion Theme'.. so i decided to make a homage to design Soul Bass.. so here is my design inspired by Bass!
Ive noticed people fav without a comment.. id like to hear your thoughts.... PLEASE COMMENT!
This is phenomenal. Saul Bass has been a major inspiration for my graphic design work.
The vertigo poster in particular should be of interest to any criterion/essence box creater to understand what these sort of boxes are meant to convey.
May I ask you what was the name of the font you used for the main title and the cast billing?
#14, Thanks that was the one thing i was worried about.. because a few people didnt like the idea of The Dark Knight being considered a Criterion.. so i took a risk here and it paid off!
Wow, just, wow! Not only does the art style here reflect the art style of the period the movie was made, but it fits really, really well too!!! A great artistic vision transfered to box art, damn your good man!!!
Again you never cease to amaze me Rossauges. Truely, you are my favoutire box artist on the site.
You made a box for my favourite movie, this is Great 9/10 for creativity, but if I saw this in a shop IO would probably think it was one of the old Casino Royale's at a first glimpse, Great anyway :)
You just blew my mind away.
