Posting a little late, but I think this is one of my best in a long time. I spent all day on the front alone.
I made the background by blending several actual pictures of Africa, and some screen shots from the game. The pictures of Chris and Sheava on the front are toys, I edited the joints out of them to make them look like renders.
Comments are greatly appreciated, I did experiment a lot on this and I'd like to know what others think.
The image you've put together on the front really showcases a lot about the game which is awesome. I like the dusty aesthetic as well. The toy renders you decided to go for work perfectly, and if you hadn't mentioned it, I probably would never have guessed that they were action figures.
Thanks for the comments, I'm thinking about changing the back a bit, I don't like the chainsaw much and the text didn't work out as well as I'd planned. The front is where my main focus went though.
Coincidently, I actually had the idea of Chris and Sheva back to back in a dusty landscape for the front cover since last year but never got around to actually making it.
Great job Pan, the composition for the front cover has been in mind for a long time, but you executed it and a fine job at that. Although I'm not a fan of the vacant "toy" expression on the Sheva's face you never the less did a great job with the editing.
Like ADFD, you are in the arthouse designer category. Keep at it. ;)
#12, I didn't like Sheva's face either, I was originally going to use another picture of the toys, but her face looked so fake I didn't do it. Thankfully I found this set instead. And thanks for your complement, ADFD is one of my favorite artist on this site.

Bad ass using action figures.

There are too many epic boxes nowadays, which results in none of them getting enough attention. That's what I think.
As for something more relevant to the box, I think that this is great, good sir.

Truly great, well I dislike the text being right next to the top.

Yes Please.

Finally, a fresh design on an overdone game. I like that you went with a brown color throughout the box besides red like most others.

not bad the only thing the font on the back maybe try angling the pic just a tad more but overall good

Epic artwork, and I love the different logo. The back's text formatting is very creative and nicely offset, very pleasing to the eye.
BTW, it's about time I author faved you.
