Nothing quite stood out to me film wise this year to the same effect as Sukiyaki Western Django, which essentially is a Japanese take on the old spaghetti westerns of the 60's and 70's. I can't even begin to tell you how cool I find the film personally, so heres the IMDB link to official site if your interested in checking it out:
Anyways, I went for a dusty brown color, and an epic Wild West look collectively for the design, especially since the official box isn't very western themed at all, which is disappointing. Between the rendering, editing, and color/placement/effects experiments, this freakin design took almost as long to complete as some of my more complex hand drawn boxes did. I'm pretty pleased with the final result though, and if this by chances gets you to actually watch the film, that would kick ass.
#10 Lol, I know. Fortunately the director know this might have been a wonky concept to pull of, so he balanced out all the bad assiness of the film with some pretty amusing humor. Go to the link in my first post, the theme song is fan-freaking tastic!

Thanks guys! The movie was really cool. Especially the whole "sword vs. gun" concept.
