This is it...my one year-anniversary box. Sadly, it's also probably my last box for a very long time, as I'll be working on my portfolio at DA over the summer.
The interesting thing is that instead of applying everything I've learned over the past year, I decided to toss it all out of the window. Part of the reason why I haven't designed in a while, is because I'm tired of the conventional way of making boxes- I wanted to do something TRULY different. Alas, this is the product of that.
What I realized is that it's not about whatever expression the game or others demand of my design, it's about what I want to express through this box. That said, this is without a doubt my best box yet. Countless hours were spent on this, half of which was just thinking of the concepts I want to integrate and how I can truly break from the mundane. This is all about style, which dictates every tiny detail of this box- lots of pen-tool/vector work. Also, it's become more than an experimental box as I was designing it and I'm truly happy and proud to present this to you guys this last time. Best enjoyed in full and cheers!

The way you've integrated the characters on the front, is just...wow. Definitely the best Killer 7 box on the site, beats the others by a long shot. I live how you've decided to make it your own, great job dude!

The design is incredible.
Everything is going in different directions, the colors are great, and every graphic is crisp, clean, and slick.
But the best thing about the box is the layout! It's so eccentric, untraditional, and crazy. (Which fits the game perfectly.)

#28, Well both really. Gonna make/compile the work I've been doing up until now- graphics design wise in a new Deviant Art account. Which also makes as a good portfolio (until I make my own online portfolio) when I apply for college this fall. ;)
Awesome. Good luck to you. I've already been accepted to my college, it's just a matter of paperwork now, thanks to my portfolio. You should have no problem. But I don't know where you're applying... You should have this box in your portfolio :)

#39, Actually started brainstorming for ideas when nextwave gave me the idea last tuesday (the 17th) in the "What box should I make next" thread. Then I basically worked my ass off for the past 2 days making this, lol.
#44, Hey...I was really motivated this time. Part of which was because of the due date of the 22nd, even though I'm not a big fan of working in a time frame when it comes to boxes.

Beautifully executed. ;) The unorthodox arrangement perfectly fits the unusual game. The layout and colors are simply brilliant! The style! The vectors! The motifs! :D
The piece reminds me of a comic called 100 Bullets. Heard of it? Out of curiosity, do you have a college in mind? And sorry for not commenting earlier, only just got internet since I'm in India. You're welcome for the suggestion and I'll be checking your DA! :)
Looks great... and surprised you actually made it that quick after you PM'ed me. Love the shatter glass front look.. and the vector-style graphics. Only thing I'm not keen on is the small slant title logo on the front --- esp. as the 7 is touching the template too --- looks like you broke one of your rules there! LOL

Looks like I made this quicker than I thought. It was intentional that I broke my rules as I wanted to try something different this time- I normally would never have a slanted logo, elements touching the template, and a small tagline etc etc, lol! Glad you like it. ;)
zomg! kewlio! anyway im wondering what size should i make a printable? because when i print the 1's on every1's printable boxes its so huge i only get the back :( does anyone know why? my printer is cannon ip1800
