Comment on Sens's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots Box Art / Cover.
Standard edition MGS4 box I reworked alot of the artwork here and i'm happy with the result.
The back isn't as experimental as some of my previous efforts but i was aiming for retail on this one, I also have a 300dpi version for printing.

For printing this, what type of paper should I use?

A gloss paper would be ideal. Around 180-200 g/m2 in weight.

I like the tab idea on the left side for the title. I had an idea just like that but didn't go threw with it. Its very simple but great. I would move the little bot over to the right more, he is covering up the dog tags to much.

one little thing that bothers me is i think the bar with snake's eye should line up with the text along the left edge.

The box is minamalism at its finest. Awesome job.
On the front, the way you integrated the renders and the random stuff at the bottom of the promo snake image is amazing.

hey erm im new here but have been messing around with box art stuff since i was about 14 how do you get your images to such a high quality what program do you use to make them because i always use photoshop

I use Photoshop, I work at 300dpi it allows for much greater flexibility and quality but you need high quality resources to be able to work that large. Other than that practice makes perfect.
Learning to render and create effects yourself also give you unique looking boxes.

where do you get your resources from then because all i can get are google images stuff
also how do you cut images so well and do you know how to fade the edges of pics out
