You didn't give any credit to the artist. I had assumed that you drew the images yourself, until I investigated the fan game. You should know better.

Good job with the screenshots. I'm always happy to see people putting that level of detail into their boxes. I have to say that the artwork is pretty poor, and the overall design of the cover is pretty bland.

The back looks ideal, though. Pokemon boxes always have very minimalist backs to their games, much like this one.

#23, Don't "whatever" me. You know as well as I do that not giving credit to an artist is art theft. You're allowing people to assume that you did that artwork yourself, and you didn't. It's YOUR job to specify that it's not yours. I expect to never see you ever complain about someone not giving credit for a logo or template, since you've done the exact same thing with this.

I don't care about whether or not you do it in this instance since everyone knows it now. I just want people to be more appreciative of artists and to give credit where credit is due. I, and artists everywhere I assume, would greatly appreciate it if you'd be more conscientious of doing it in the future.

#32, You shouldn't expect to come on this site and order a respected member what to do. You don't have enough to support an idea that he might not be telling the truth. With that kind of attitude, I for one wouldn't take your reporting seriously. VGmaster isn't the type to lie.

I think VGMaster should just specifically say who the credit belongs to and call it a day. That's how it goes.

Really awesome box!
To make it look even better, get some of the words on the back spelled correctly, try and get the snapshots on the back to the left not to look like they're from Diamond or Pearl. Also maybe for the background on the front, get a glittery one (like off of Diamond or Pearl for example) just in the color of Acanthite.

Still looks reaaaally good to me man. 4/5 +fav.

He is not to use my artwork or any of Pokemon Acanthite's artwork in any case.

He has not obtained permission to do so, so do not tell me what I can an can't do when it comes to not guarding my artworks.

Well, I've ONLY got the 157 photoshop files for each art for Pokemon Acanthite's generation of Pokemon. :O

Everyone here is acting like they have the sense of an ten-year-old.

In all honesty, that probably isn't truly him. It's probably some guy that wanted to do this for kicks, or to get it taken down to spite VGMaster, and before you say anything, just because he shares the name with the administrator of another forum doesn't mean they're truly the same person. Anyone can type out "Nelson" in a name field.

Assuming it's him, though, he has every single right to demand it be taken down. It's his artwork, and if he doesn't want it being used in this method then that's his right. This isn't commercially released artwork for a game, it's someone's personal artwork that they spent a lot of time using it, and VG just took it and used it for his own purposes, which is something that few people would be okay with. Whether or not he gave "proper credit" (Which he has yet to do. And to stop you, VG, from replying with "Yuh-huh! I did just a few comments ago!" I would like to point out that saying "Credit to Pokemon Acanthite for the artwork" isn't giving any kind of credit since the game itself didn't produce the art.) and whether or not he's creating free advertisements for the game is completely irrelevant, it's about principal, not getting credit or publicity.

I'd feel the same way as Nelson, though I wouldn't have used such civilized language.

I really don't need to prove to anyone who I am, except for the fact that I have mentioned that I am Nelson from PA forums. Either take it or leave it.

VG Master, I want to apologise for my sudden abruptance, I just get annoyed when I type a mature response, then you type a panicked response.

Before you use someone else's work for your cover, gain their permission first and there won't be any problems. :)

I'm going to be joining the boxart war, so watch out. ;)

But next time, just be sure to gain permission first, and give explicit credit. EXPLICIT credit!

first, TTT< stop saying Fuck with an asterisk replacing the u. secondly stop F*cking making Pokemon boxes with names of gems i have never heard of. you should make a box for pokemon Quartz, or better yet pokemon lava rock. simplify it like that. anyway this is a very nice box if so to speak. but unfortunately, i have no clue what the hell an acanthite is. (maybe its a gem, all pokemon games are named after a gem these days)
