I am having trouble with GIMP and making this GameCube Logo to be transparent over the Picture (if you know what I mean.

You don't want the temp transparent. What you want to do is move the pic under the temp. Make sure you get the temp from this site, it's transparent and located at the bottom of the front page. After you open gimp, open that temp. Then, while in the window with the temp, go File>Open as layer. Open your pic. Then go Dialogs>layers. Select the layer that's the picture, and press the down arrow on the layers window until the pic is under the temp and ESRB ratings. Pic is good, make sure to get a good logo this time.
