i might actually print it again cause i forgot to choose "best" quality in the print options. this is normal quality on normal paper, but as you see it already looks great =p

Pfft, I print the printables at the "right" size and they come out too small, too big, or too ugly. You lucky bastards. The official boxes for most games suck!

i use a program called portable ashampoo cover studio. it gives you the exact dvd size and its really easy to use. i used it to print that one.
i tried printing with glossy paper but for some reason the paper seemed to "absorb" the black or something, so it looked more like grey, looked really bad

I printed out my Birth by Sleep cover (The one in my sig where no-one could see how they were standing behind a ledge).
Now I see that the logo is off-set to the left by about a centimetre. Nice going genius.
It was on normal paper on a rubbish printer.
    I'll post a picture soon.

    Exacto and a metal ruler.

That is way wrong, my graphics teacher would have turned red in the face if he heard that. The paper determines how much the inks bleed and how the colors shine. Brochure paper is the best for printing official looking covers.

You all keep telling me I'm wrong yet I've printed out box art on every type of paper, including this precious "brochure paper" and regular paper looks just as good.If the printer is high quality and the settings are right, your print will look amazing on regular computer paper. I never said normal paper was "better" than more expensive paper, but you do not need to pay extra money to have a nice looking print, just look at the pictures I've posted.

Ok well if your argument is that you can get good looking prints for cheap that is fine but the better the paper the better the look. My thing is when you put regular paper behind the plastic it doesn't have the same shine and pop, it looks a little flat to me.

Personally instead of using my printer I go to Staples and have them deal with it for a single dollar. Once it took them about 45 tries to get a print out and they were so frustrated and I was there for a hour they just gave me the print for free. 45 high quality prints would have been a lot on my printer haha. Also they are like 1 or 2 mins next to my house.

I see what you are saying about the shine and pop, but when I get them printed on nice expensive paper, they look too good, the seem to pop right off the page almost like they are embossed. Personally, I'm fine with the way it looks on normal paper, my only grip is that it doesn't "feel" the same in my hands, a fair bit thinner than the paper used for official cases. I got to Office Maxx for all my prints, .45 for normal paper, 1.09 for nicer paper.

I'm very sorry to hear you say that especially since the decline in activity on this website is no mystery. It's a shame that people's covers aren't getting the recognition they deserve these days.

It's really frustrating. Considering the state the site is in, and much less activity in submissions, you'd think the designs that are on the front page would be checked out more often.

Pan, your 3rd Birthday case looks magnificent printed out. I'll definitely be using it when I get the game.

Two I recently printed, the first being SD1833 and my collab. The second is a collab by Hsolider and Star89er. Ignore the annoying stickers in the corners lol

Anyone who prints this will be loved by me for all eternity. I want to print it myself, but my printer isn't exactly functional.
