Well I cant even vote on this one. I mean Karma's is way too plain. M. General's looks like every other assassins creed box. I mean he took part of the back off the official box.

    Uhhh.. Karma.

They're both incredible. I just feel like it's more minimalistic.

Defintly M_Gs, i mean hell it looks like the rest of them but how else can it look. To me minimalism is a plain but very effective box. Karmas box is too plain with no appeal.

    Easy choice: Karma

Master_General's box is AMAZING... it's just not at all minimal in my mind. The cover is a complete scene and it has the flavor of a pretty standard Assassin's Creed box. The back is way too busy to fit the context of this round. It's a seriously beautiful box, and I will FAV it when it's up on the site.

Karma was a bit daring with this box. He went ULTRA-minimal with the cover and created a "feel" for the game that is both enigmatic and unsettling. It looks a little bit crazy and you're not sure what to expect and that reflects the characters' personalities quite well. The back ties it together and does it very artfully in my opinion. Awesome job!

Both boxes are nice, but in my opinion Karma incorporated the minimalistic concept into his piece better.

The absence of color, with the assistance of the dotted lines/scissor and pill bottle graphics, gives the design a sublimely psychotic feel, which is what Mr. Kane and Mr. Lynch are all about.

master_general's box is sharp, but it's a little straight forward.

Good job to both of you gentlemen,
but my vote for the round goes to Karma.

well, i got to explain i guess
i tried to get the box to tell that it is a fast paced game with killing, thus the front
must of went too far >.<

Uhhh minimalism ftw? Karma's is too plain. The back is nothing special and couldn't have taken long. It would have been easy to spruce it up with some subtle things. While his is a little akin to the official, I vote for M_G

Karma's box may look very very plain here, but thats the style of it here. I like the minimalism that he brought into this box very much, and he had introduced a new type of a unique style, that has been expressed on a rare amount of boxes on this site, (i.e. Rule of Rose by ADFD). M_G's box looks pretty nice, but the amount of motion blur kills it for me, and how it was executed.

    So KARMA gets my vote.

But thats basically the whole back just with new pictures. Doesn really seem like alot of effort done.

If you have an issue with his box, please take it up with him outside of this competition thread.

Im gonna have to go with Master General.. Karma's box fits more to the topic (I've noticed that most of the boxes in the competition have gone off the topic), but Karma's is just.. too me, too plain. Master Generals is very nice, not so minimal, but still good.

I'm going to go with master_general on this one.

If I recall the idea behind minimalism, it's to strip down a work to only the essentials needed to get your point across. Not being much on recent games, I have no idea what Kane & Lynch is about, and the box design isn't helping. I think there could have been a better use of space and still kept it within the bounds of the competition. While the Assassin's Creed box may be overstepping the bounds of minimalism a bit, the point of the game seems pretty clear from the images provided.

Yeah, Im also gonna have to go with MG.

I like Karma's a lot, but it seems a little plain, and i see what he was going for. And although MG's looks alot like other AC boxes, it's minamilsim, and i think he did a great job with that, front and back. So my vote goes to MG.

I hardly call that effortless. To recreate the box would take effort. Just because it's not a new idea doesn't make it effortless

Karma, MG's box is not minimal in my eyes.

I vote for Master General. Even though it's not minimalist i still like the overall layout.
Karma's box is the bad kind of minimalism - boring, sorry dude.
