Default Dead Or Alive, Soul Caliber, Or Tekken?

Which is your favorite? Mine would have to be, hands down, without a doubt be DOA....And I also enjoyed the movie.

Soul Saliber because they have great art directions and great storylines. I love Tekken as well and i have not play a Dead or Alive game since the second game.

OH! I also forgot to add Mortal Kombat to that list, which would be my second favorite fighting series next to DOA.

I prefer Tekken. It has a great storyline and more realistic fighting.

Fighting games are my favorite genre of games, so its hard for me to decide. They are all unique really.

-Soul Calibur is a weapon based fighting game
-Dead or Alive is a really relistic fighter
-Teken has a great story and as well as great fighting, one of my favorites
-and Mortal Kombat has some crazy characters and lots of violence.
And you forgot Street Fighter, which still remains as some of the best 2D fighters.

I actually prefer some 2D fighters over 3d. Those take much more skill IMO. Rather then circling your opponent and easily avoiding there attacks, you have to jump, duck, and block most of the attacks and projectiles. Although Soul Calibur requires lots of blocking and dodging, as well as rolling on the ground to avoid jump attacks and down slashes. I can't decide....

Soul Calibur > Virtua Fighter > Tekken >>>>>>>>> Dead or Alive

    I prefer 2D fighters to 3D myself.

You just called Dead or Alive, realistic?

I recall being able to, in DOA2, pick up the enemy, jump 50 feet in the air and slam them down on their head.

I still prefer Brawl. I've never really liked 1 on 1 fighters like SC and Tekken. They just never struck me as having very much depth. Yes, I do have SC IV on my PS3, but other than having to memorize the insanely difficult controls, which I hate, there doesn't seem to be a very large depth of gamplay in it.

Tekken. It has a very good fighting scheme, and fluid moves, making them look realistic (Tekken was the first game to use motion actors to create attacks within the game). The engine is custom, and really flexible.

I won't say Tekken has the best story... I'd say it had the best story till Tekken 5. I mean, wtf? Xiayou travelling in a time machine?

Dead or Alive, kinda sucks. I remember playing DOA2, and I took it out my disc drive after like 10 mins. Soul Calibur's cool too, but I would'nt say it's better than Tekken.

And for Mortal Kombat, the series sucked since MK4. The 2d versions, where the best fighting games in living history.

No Street Fighter? Or are you only doing 3D ones...in that case:

    Tekken--->Soul Calibur--->Dead or Alive

I love Mortal Kombat and the 2-D gameplay & the old 3D graphics still have a place in my heart that i love the most. I like the 3-D games but the gameplay has not change since Deadly Alliance. They need to make a Mortal Kombat game with 2-D gameplay for once.
