Default EA Give Away Free Petrol!!

"Fuel chaos brought roads in north London to gridlock today - but this time it wasn't because of a shortage of petrol or diesel.

Motorists queued round the block to get free petrol as part of a publicity stunt to promote Electronic Arts' latest game Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

More than 600 drivers turned up to take advantage of the free fuel offer. EA had £20,000 ($40,000) worth of petrol and diesel to give away to launch the game, in which the player takes on the role of a Venezuelan mercenary after a military coup makes petrol the main currency.

From 6:30am drivers waited to get into the Last Stop garage in Finsbury Park. EA decorated the garage in camouflage material and models carried fake machine guns and army dress.

However, not everyone was happy about the free fuel promotion. After complaints from local residents, the police ordered the garage to stop the stunt."

They did it in L.A. as well.

Only EA can come up with a seemingly great idea first, but have it turn into a complete catastrophe. The lines went on for dozens of blocks, if I were stuck in that I probably would've killed someone.

LA had no problems, as far as I am aware.

I was watching X-Play last night, and they were talking about it. Maybe "dozens" is a slight exaggeration, but the line was freaking huge.
