I strongly dislike this band, but I've been hearing good stuff about this album (Kerry King said it was awesome, but then again, that's Kerry King) so I made myself listen to it.

Apparently one of the best tracks on the album, and... it's not very good. I'm sorry, but I really can't get over their horrible vocals. I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but the clean singing is SO generic and Heafy really needs to stop pretending to be James Hetfield. The harsh/screamed vocals are absolutely HORRIBLE. I've heard some pretty bad metalcore vocals in my time, but this really takes the piss. I'm not finding anything very impressive about the guitar work and the drumming sounds really generic too.

If they didn't have Matt Heafy, this band would probably rule. As it stands, they still suck.

You might like The Crusade. It has very very little screaming.

I listened to the whole album (it was actually the first Trivium album I listened to) and it sucked. They all suck. Most generic piece of crap I've ever heard in my life. True, Airbourne might sound like AC/DC and Evile might be slightly reminiscent of Slayer, but they don't completely sell out and literally copy every last little thing another band does (in this case, Metallica).

Metal Hammer's opinion of best metal albums almost do not count anymore, imo. I'm losing respect for them after their endorsement of 'metal' bands like Slipknot and Trivium.
