    This is, in my opinion, the greatest Black Metal song ever written. The cold, distant and haunting acoustic intro, the low quality recording to give it that hopeless, malice-fueled aggression... Ulver has come a fucking LOOOONG way, and as much as I didn't really dig The War of Roses, Shadows of the Sun is right up with Kveldssanger as their second best album right behind Bergtatt.

    To think Garm was right around 18 when they recorded this... Fucking lord.
