WinterFest Round 3: Origins

Alright guys, LK here. Let's get this show started!

As the new host, I've decided to have this next round act as a royal rumble for the remaining contestants. But mostly, I want to see who has the potential to rise from the rest.

This round will proceed in an old fashioned "royal rumble" style where all the competitors will go against each other and by that I mean there's only one thread that will be posted which will include all of the boxes of the contestants.

However, only 2 will emerge victorious from this round. And with that decision, comes the twist....Each voter CAN and is encouraged to vote for their TOP TWO that they wish to go to the final round.

I've kept the rules for this round faithful to what Nerdysimmer initially planned. I have also decided to resign from the contest since I'm the new host

Though in an event of a tie, it's my job to tip the scales

RULES

As we get older, the technology of gaming gets better. But who says that the older consoles never had all of the glory? Now is the time to re-live your lives as a young gamer by making a Retro-Boxart, meaning you have to make a game that was, or meant to be made before the 6th generation started.

Title: Any game that was, or meant to be made before the 6th generation started.
Console: Any system or handheld before the days of the 6th gen. (Meaning BEFORE ps2, gba, xbox, gcn, dreamcast)

Examples: psx, genesis, n64, saturn, nes, snes etc etc...

Genre: Any
2D/3D: Either
Front/Full: Full

Boxes are due on February 1st at 11:59 pm!! Please pm me your boxes in time. No exceptions on this one, since the round will be posted on the 2nd. Time to re-live the past!

Brettska99 vs. thecodemaster - Winner: thecodemaster

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Master general is still competing (he still got his box in time - after I've already scheduled the previous matches)

I have previously said that I was forced to resign after being elected as the new host. If I were to continue participating, it would be unfair since I had already been handed the rules by Nerdysimmer himself. I desire no such advantage from my fellow competitors and thus I resigned.

However, it is also unfair for me and TM that neither of us continues to the next round, because of the recent events that took place during round 2.

As the victor of my match with TwilightMystics and the new host of this contest, I choose none other than my opponent, TwilightMystics himself, to continue in my stead to round 3.

Niether have I. Grrrr there's a manual for a Super Nintendo game I have but I can't find it. It has cool art that is ripe for scanning.
