Question: How is Illustrator better than Photoshop as a logo creator?

I only use photoshop and have always been interested in finding out the difference between the two programs. If I'm not wrong, don't most people use the same pen tool for making logos on illustrator, which is in photoshop?

All of them are in photoshop also, except I don't know what type of "advanced filters" we are talking about here.

well i believe that's how they do the same in illustrator.. and 'advanced filters' are just a big combination of regular filters, E.g. to make a water-drop effect.

The main difference is that Illustrator is vector based meaning i can take any sized drawing i made in the program and enlarge it without losing any quality.

Does that apply only to drawings made on the program, or any (pre-made) image can be enlarged from its original resolution?

If it's vector based it can be enlarged. Photoshop and similar porgrams use bitmap/raster images and will get pixelated when enlarged.

Ya, Illustrator is a great program for logos and drawing/render you make.
I used it all the time for my logos and webcomics.
