    Default Gimp not cooperating!

Okay guys, I'm just wondering, has the following ever happened to you?

You log on to your computer/laptop, and open up Gimp, only to find out that when Gimp starts loading, it freezes at the Fonts section!

Not sure if it's just my computer, but this is just weird. Hm...maybe it's time to get Photoshop, but before that happens, I'd like to know if anyone has any troubleshooting info on this.

    Thanks!

It might just be that you have a fair amount of fonts and GIMP is just taking awhile to get them all. Mine takes time aswell.
Maybe you're not giving it enough time before you decide it's frozen, try being patient with it. Or if you do give it time and it does freeze then sorry can't help. ^^

Like PressCorps said, you may just have a lot of fonts.
I myself have a lot of fonts, and it causes GIMP to slow down when i cycle through them too fast. Since you might have more than me, it may take a while just to load them up.
If it keeps crashing, try re-downloading GIMP and seeing if that makes a difference.

Okay, guys, I got it working. You were right, it was just indexing my fonts before it started up. Thanks for the help.
