I need some help with my logo please.

Hey guys, I made up a game called "GOAL: Unrestricted Street Soccer", and I have been working on the logo for a couple of days.
The problem: I do not know what I should do for the pattern/color/texture for the letters.
To give you an idea of what Im gonna do to the logo, I will be adding a street sign in the middle of the octagon shaped 'O'.
Your help would be much appreciated.

I was gonna say put a football in the O and leave the rest white but after reading what you said...maybe a football hexagon pattern on the text, failing that i's stick with the grafiti style you have. Good job with it so far though.

OK, well, if you had not told me what it was supposed to say, I would not be able to read that. For the GOAL part, I would suggest:

- Add an exclamation point (!) to the end of GOAL.
- Change the font to something large, bold, and simple. Something along the lines of Impact or Arial. Skew the text a bit, and add a gradient. Add a stroke along the outside, and add another stroke again, off center, behind it, to make it look 3D.
- Put the Unrestircted Street Soccer part as graffiti, but please use another font

Did you get all that?

thanks for the advise...but i dont think im gonna be changin the whole logo...most of it isnt even text, most of it (75%) is hand drawn by me. i think its pretty easy to see that it says GOAL, and im gonna keep it that way, but i will put an exclamation point. and im gonna probably use graffiti for the subtitle...thanks for the suggestions guys
