For me, I would have to say the Prince of Persia franchise. Sands of Time was the first game I ever completed, and I've loved it since. Each of the games has their own little gimmick of gameplay, and they each have a perfect mix of Story, Action, Puzzles, etc..

Specifically, 3 is my favourite from the series, if only because I have a huge man-crush on Vergil.

For me, Resident Evil 3 is my favourite game ever. It was the first game I ever beat solo (and I was like 5 at the time).
Resident Evil in general is my favourite series with MGS a very close second.

My top franchises are mainly Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, Devil May Cry, Gran Turismo and Call of Duty. However, there are so many other series out there that are equally awesome.
