I'm not great at explaining, so I'll let you read what's inside.

    Read it.
    Watch the Video.
Pledge all of your monies if you feel so lead.

So what do you guys think of this?
I'm skeptical, but still kind of excited. This is what I'm always saying, there is no entry into the developing industry for anyone but the established, money hungry corporate giants. If all goes according to plan this may very well be a big deal to the world of gaming.
With 28 days left, the Kickstarter has already collected more than double their goal. That's just so awesome, and honestly, I'm considering pledging myself.

So yeah, talk words about stuff. Go.

Found out about this today, I want one just for an emulator machine that's easy to connect to my TV.

It also just occurred to me that theoretically, this would be perfect for building MAME cabinets.

    Indeed. That'd be tight.

Oh man, this is nuts. The project has jumped another million just since last night. Seriously, is no one interesting in this as much as me?

I want one just to see how much people exploit this. The hacks will be amazing. Might pledge that $99. Dunno.

I probably would have pledged the $95 just to help out and get a console, but I want to see how well this performs and if it's as great as it sounds before I drop money on one. I'll wait till it's released, hopefully it's not hard to get one after that.

This sums up my feelings on Ouya rather well.

That's awesome. If it lives up to what it's selling, it could be THE thing that gaming needs. I will also say this... even if this particular console does not happen... this idea is what needs to happen to gaming. Game prices and hardware cost has stayed relatively the same for the last 25 years, while every other piece of technology has decreased in price tremendously. There's a reason iPad and iPhone games, as well as Steam, are becoming so popular... they give quality, unique, even revolutionary games for rock-bottom prices. Gaming needs this, whether they admit it or not.

Likewise. I'll throw money at it when I can touch it.

I was talking to my friend about it today, weird. I might buy it depending on the reviews for it, what games it has at launch, but first I need money.

Even if it fails, I think it would be cool to own one of the original systems. It could become highly collectible in the future as one of the video game industries biggest flops.

Seeing as how they raised 4 and half million dollars, 3 and a half more than they originally were shooting for, I don't think there will be a problem making this a reality.
I just hope it really can be used as a close substitute for, say, a ps3/xbox. If it matches up to the standard, (meaning power and big-name support) plus all of this magical development software like they are pushing for, it should work out pretty well.

I'm excited to see how this all goes down.
