Catchy name right? Okay, it's a bit goofy, I'll admit. This is my newest spacescape. All-in-all, this took about 10 hours using my Wacom tablet, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Any ways, enjoy the full image at 1920x1080 (widescreen wallpaper).

Hey, that's pretty neat. Something about the bright volcanic orange in contrast to the mysterious blue the rest of the image has kinda bothers me a bit, though. Not saying the whole image has to be one color but ... I don't know. Just me personally.

I'm curious as to what you used the Wacom tablet for, btw. The background?

I dig it, but the orange volcanic stuff looks stuck on top of the planet in a few places, rather than being beneath the cracks in the planet.

The volcanic portion of the larger planet does stand out on purpose so as to break up the monotony that otherwise would have existed with an overly singular colored image. I used orange and yellow hues in the lighting help blend the planet into the overly blue scene.

I'm not seeing that. Of course, with some of the smoothing I did, I may have reduced the effect, considering it would realistically not look that way form space anyway.

I love creating spacescapes in Photoshop, need to get back into that. Great work here once again, the lighting is probably most impressive to me. All of it was done in Lightroom?

I original read this as "my latest spaceship" and spent about five minutes trying to find one. XD

I used Lightroom for final focal/lighting/color tweaks. All the rest was done in Photoshop.
