Raentyr - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Started work on my second project over the past couple of days.
I'm not really sure what to think of it right now. It's pretty late when I'm uploading this and such, so I dunno.
I think the back looks decent...maybe not great, though.
And I feel like the front looks a tad sloppy.
Anyways, be honest and tell me what you guys think. That would be awesome.
1) Let me know if the helicopter troops in the right corner of the front feel off, especially make it look weird with the main gas mask SAS troop in the front and having them have a merging type of deal.
2) On the back, the soldier's arm going in front of the picture - does that look good or what other ideas would you have on it?
3) Do all the colors work out with each other?
4) Please let me know if there's any typos.
Well the first thing I noticed was the lack of legibility of the text on the back. I would create a bounding box for the text to sit in. You could lower the opacity of the bounding box so that the background is still visible, but the text can be read. Also, the screen shots should be in 16 by 9 aspect ratio.
On the front, I would try to work on the mask part of the SAS soldier on the front. It needs to be darker to blend with the background. And the soldier behind him might look better a little off to the left.
Hmm great ideas. I'll try to implement them in sometime later this week for an update. Thanks, MattStar.
try to match the color of front and back, and it would nice to give thin stroke the decription
Also, Matt, if you come look at this again, do you think all the text should be in the box or just the game info?
Alright, so here's an updated version (fixed his helmet to blend better, as well as his lines to look less pasted in, moved the soldier and helicopter, added background box for text box)
Also, I realized that the soldier behind Soap cuts out to the background and there's a green splotch there. I fixed that, I just realized that after I uploaded this version.
Let me know what you guys think.
Hate to be one of those bumpers, but I'd like to get some feedback so I can know if I should scrap it or not.
I'd say you should raise the logo so that it doesn't touch anything beneath it. There's a lot of empty space in which you can place that logo.
I would also lose the quotes on the back. It just seem cluttered.
If possible, you should lower the image on the back so that the tagline isn't sitting over the soldier.
On the spine, I would lose the MW2 line thing behind the logo. It hurts legibility.
And did you create the template on the back? It looks bad, frankly. I would use a more official looking template for the legal area.
Sorry that's a lot. Hope you understand it all.
Yea I getcha.
I may postpone this cover indefinitely, but I will take your advice into account. Thanks, Matt.
