    Default Security Shield Virus

Every so often a window called "Security Shield" (or something like that) will appear saying something about there being viruses on my laptop. I've never even heard about Security Shield so this obviously looked shady to me. Upon further investigation, it seems that Security Shield is a virus. I saw some links saying how to get rid of it but I'm not sure they're reliable. Anyone know a safe way to get rid of it?

Do you have a regular anti-virus program? Like Avast?

If not, other than getting an anti-virus, I would recommend a system restore.

If you install AVG Anti-Virus and do a scan, it'll delete it automatically. The manual route is much more convoluted, but try AVG and I'm 99% sure it'll work by itself.
    bless you with this DOPE

Try MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. I got similar viruses to this before and it did the job.
