It was just to let people compare the front with and without the lens flare. Just thought it was convenient

I like the lens flare. But the 'OF' gets lost in it. I think it needs an outline/shadow.

Mm i was wondering about that, but i figured its not like anyone's not gonna know what it says haha. But i'll try see what it looks like, but i dont think a little grey shadow in the middle of the flare would look good. Might just darken the flare a bit in the area behind the 'OF' so it pops.

Ha I might just be nitpicking. It looks really good.

Yea I think the one without the lens flare is more appealing and eye grabbing. Looks more professional, as well.

This would be a sweet art for like the Hardened Edition. Just saying.

I can completely understand why someone wouldnt like the lens flare, but i'm going to give my reasons on using it and why i prefer the box with it.

1. Gives the box more of a sense of verticality, which i was going for.
2. Relates to the 'II' of the game's title by putting the lens flare in the middle of the shape, seperating the two 1's.
3. It balances the box in my opinion, both in composition and colour.
4. It also relates to the futuristic and slightly sci-fi setting of this game. I cant help but be reminded of recent sci-fi films like star trek, super 8, transformers etc when i see the lens flare, heck, i even get a bit of an Alien vibe. So theres that whole sci-fi relationship.
5. And lastly, the whole thing to me with the lens flare symbolises a sort of new beginning for the franchise because to me it sort of looks like the opening of a portal or cosmic doorway etc. Like the opening of a new world or something haha.

So at this stage i'm pretty sure i'll stick with the lens flare, but I havent even started the back yet so who knows my mind could change as I go on.

Hmmm I see what you mean now with the lens flare, and I've got to admit, it seems to look quite nice now that you've pointed it out lol.
This will be promising either way.
