So, as many of you have noticed, this site is going downhill, fast. The only active part of the site is the forums, which is good, but really, there has been a lack of box art lately. The only people posting boxes are new members that usually have no idea what they're doing, and it's because we don't critique them enough, so they can't improve. But I've got an idea.*
I call it the "VGBA Apprentice Program". The ideas simple, if you are a member with lots of experience, I highly suggest that you take this Idea into consideration. So this is the main focus. Find a member with little experience that posts boxes that don't seem to improve, and ask them if they would like to be your apprentice. Then teach them the basics of making boxes, ask them what programs they use, tell them about art styles, etc. Then get them familiar with the site like rules and all that good stuff. I'm just throwing this out there, take it or leave it, I just think if each experienced member took on an apprentice, that this site could be active again, and that we would open a door for the next generation of artists on the site.
