How about slightly increasing size of the image then moving over so his elbow is filling up the space?

you could move him over with a bit of fiddling. cut him out from the background, shunt over, then clone background to suit, doesn't look like too big a job as the background is mostly faded at the top, 30mins tops.
that CryEngine3 logo looks nice too
