Lightbulb My Dark Knight Rises Theory

    MY DARK KNIGHT RISE THEORY

Ok be prepared for an essay here, I never knew I could write so much.

I might not be to smart with the origins of Batman, Bane, and what not but I do have some theories about the next batman film by Christopher Nolan.

I'm not going to talk about what I think the trailer means and Banes plans and all that crap... there’s been enough talk about that. What I'm going to talk about is more about the characters, actors and more about how the story is actually told than the plot and I want your opinions.

Firstly, my main point is the villains. We all know that the bad guys in nearly any Batman film steal the spotlight from the hero such as The Dark Knight should have been called The Dark Joker because of Heath Ledgers Oscar winning performance as the psycho clown. Bane is obviously the main bad dude, creating chaos in Gotham... bla bla. I think Tom Hardy is going to do a epic job as Bane but his character is to obvious or straight forward for a Christopher Nolan film as we all know from Inception and all those other mind f**ked movies of his. As we have seen in most of Nolan’s films there’s the bad guy, in Batman Begins it’s the Scarecrow and in The Dark Knights it’s the Joker but in both films there’s another, Ra Al Gal and Two Face. And this leaves me wondering who the second villian in the final installment is?

As we all know Selina Kyle or as most know her as Catwoman is in this film but I personally think she’s not going to be the second villain, as in the trailer we see her working with Batman and in the leaked pictures riding the Batpod. But any DC fan would say but she has two personalities, and is just playing with Batman, to be honest who knows. I say she’s on his side. From her dialogue in the trailer I think she's neither working with Bane or Batman. With my opinion said it still leaves me wondering who the next villain is?

This could be a long shot and i doubt it’s ever going to happen but it is my theory. There are some unanswered questions about the origins of other characters. I was checking out IMDB and only 3 main female names came up Anne Hathaway who is playing Catwoman, but the other two Marion Cotillard and Juno Temple have kept there characters under wraps. Now be prepared this is where things gets messy. In the second trailer we see Marion Cotillard at a ball or dance taking of a mask which resembles something that would more likely be worn by Catwoman. Is that a clue of a darker intent? Or just a tease? Now according to IMDB she plays a board member for Wayne Enterprise by the name Miranda Tate, but what if she was the real mastermind behind the so called villain Catwoman which kinds of explains how Bane gets the batmoblies. I could go on about how she could play it ten times better than Hathaway could but that’s not the point, the point is that it would make one hell of a story specially if they link it to the rumour that Ra Al Gal's daughter is going to play apart which is backed up by the fact that Liam Nelson reprises as Ra Al Gal in what I can only guess is in flashbacks.

Now this is the most unlikely possibility but I like to imagine. Now according to Nolan this new film is set 8 years after The Dark Knight. Which means its very unlikey the Joker is in it which Nolan said himself? But what if neither Catwoman nor this mystery Miranda Tate is the next villain. What if there’s going to be some of that Nolan mind f**king magic we all love! My unlikely theory is that this Juno Temple girl could be the key to linking this film to the prior films. This character is an accomplice and girlfriend of one of Batman's greatest villains the Joker. Yes, I believe that a huge twist in the movie is going to happen surrounding the clown's girlfriend Harley Quinn! If you take a look at Juno Temple she would make a perfect Quinn. Her appearance in the game Arkham Asylum is a hot, nearly sexy clown in a nurse costume. I can just imagine her playing a damn good Quinn; she’s got the looks, and trying to avenge the Joker, something like what Harvey Dent did in The Dark Knight. As well as Cotalard’s character IMDB and Wikipedia has little information on the character. And just now I found this, her speaking about her role which seems like there’s something going on here.
“I can’t talk about that. But I think it’s going to be f**king unbelievable. Christopher Nolan is awesome! There’s something really gentlemanly about him. He’s got an insane, incredible vision going on. Just getting the opportunity to work with him is awesome”

So that’s my theory, sorry for it being so long... I couldn't help myself. It’s mostly just about the villains but you get the idea. I'll like to see what you guys have to say about it. Hope you guys liked it.

    Cheers, Hazzy

So, is this the official Dark Knight Rises Theory thread? Well, I gotta say that I find it pretty far fetched that Juno Temple will play Harley Quinn, and that most likely she will be in a smaller role as she hasn't been featured in any of the trailers. Miranda Tate being Talia al Ghul seems to be confirmed by a child actor who said she was playing her.

Now here's my crazy theory: Bane is Ra's Al Ghul put through the Lazarus Pit. Though, I think that would cheapen the character.

Anyone else think it's possible JGL is really going to be a Robin-esque character? Maybe an Azrael stand in?

    Maybe I'm just desperate.

    Pretty much.

Miranda Tate being Talia al Ghul seems to be confirmed by a child actor who said she was playing her.
But a according to Wikapedia she has denied the character being Talia al Ghul

JGL is really going to be a Robin-esque character?
I really hope not, Robin and Azrael don't really fit into Nolan's universe.

Not Burt-Ward-RobinHood-GreenTights-Robin, but a close ally to Batman, possibly dawning a modified suit briefly, possibly having previously taken up vigilantism, inspired by Batman.
Keep in mind, Batman has been gone (Supposedly) for 8 whole years. We've already seen that Bat-wannabes exist. Why not a younger one? Possibly with a thing for hoods..

In the newest trailer released we can see JGL standing by a bus. Find a 1080p version of this trailer, look closely, the bus reads "Gotham Home For Boys" So.. orphans.
Clearly JGL has a connection to these kids. We see the face of one on the bus, looking out the window, not long after we see the same kid sitting with JGL talking about the Bat.
Perhaps JGL came from the 'home for boys'. See what I'm getting at? What if he is actually our Richard Grayson?
They've said his name to be John Blake. But have we heard it in any trailers? No. I think, now hear me out, this is just a code name for us until the film comes out. Johnny Blake, though there may be no connection, was actually a one-off character in some ancient issue of the Batman comics, just some kid bullied by the Joker (Maybe JGL was negatively influenced in some way by the joker in the last film?)
Is this really his name in the film? Maybe. But even if it is, maybe that is only his name because he doesn't know his birth name, who knows. It's an out-there idea, I know.

I believe the innocence of a child more than I trust the mature and manipulative mind of Chris Nolan and Marion Cotillard. Plus, I'm pretty sure Liam Neeson also denied being Ras Al Ghul for Batman Begins as well as being a part of The Dark Knight Rises, which we have direct confirmation that he actually is in it!

Can we keep this thread kinda spoiler free?

I already know about Marion and Liam, I wish I didn't.
