Rumor: Star Fox Wii U developed by Retro
The annual pre-E3 rumors are coming in full force now, with one of the biggest now being that Retro Studios - responsible for the Metroid Prime trilogy and Donkey Kong Country Returns - is developing a new entry in the Star Fox series.

Either way, I think it's pretty much a guarantee we'll be seeing what Retro has been working on at E3 this year. A surprise unveiling at the end of the conference, maybe?
I personally don't like Star Fox that much. I'd rather Retro be working on a 2-D sidescrolling Metroid.
Metroid returning to home consoles would be neat, but any future 2D title(s) will likely find a home on the 3DS. Samus' debut on the Wii U would want to showcase the system's power, just like Metroid Prime did with the GameCube. The same could be said for Star Fox.

Hell yes. I've been itching for a new StarFox for years.
