I kinda liked the red and the blue together. Of course, nothing is necessary or unnecessary when it deals with aesthetics. There are things that look good and look bad, though. Do you think the red looks bad?

The red/blue color combo has been proven to work in countless examples before, so I don't see the issue here. It looks nice.

I think the red is way stronger than blue. If you decrease the brightness from the red light a little...

Mario is awesome. Pikachu, I like. Kirby looks out of place.
