The thing is, Microsoft is really good when it comes to software, and Sony is really good when it comes to hardware. So, Microsoft built a machine that wasn't exactly cutting-edge technology, but was easy to program for and to get a lot of juice out of. On the other hand, Sony made machine with much more advanced part, but their machine was difficult program for. For a couple of years, it was only exclusive titles that knew how to get any juice out of the PS3, while multiplats on the PS3 just tended to suck on graphics (I am looking at you, PS3 Splinter Cell Double Agent!). Such exclusive series as Uncharted and Killzone have proven that PS3 has more graphics juice, but you just need to know how to use it. If Sony had managed to make their platform friendlier for the developers like 360, it might have reached it's full potential far earlier.
Wait, why has this turned into a PS3 vs. 360 discussion again?
