She wouldn't be a bad choice, per se, but there are others that I think should come first. Even if we're only talking of the current generation, PlayStation has exclusivity in the likes of Nariko or Kat. Selvaria or Alicia from VC would fit two, their movesets practically writing themselves. Hell, even someone like Virginia from Wild Arms 3 would be a neat shout out to fans of PlayStation's diversity.

EDIT: Also, am I the only one who thinks he was being a bit of a dick the way he declined the use of Lara?

Solid Snake will be announced soon, there will be 20+ characters in the game, so we have atleast 10 or so to go. Also, the next character reveal will be at Gamescon.

Well It's probably gonna be for the other two pics, that is to say the ones with the ammo.
So Ratchet and Clank and Crash, not yet.

They more or less confirmed Snake already but he'll probably show up. I would have prefered Raiden though to be honest. He has a lot more potential. As for the other picture, I'm sure it'll be some bullshit like ITS A 9MM ROUND, AND THE 9TH PLAYSTATION GAME EVER WAS GEX, AHURDURR.

Well, Ratchet & Clank are pretty much there, even if they haven't been announced yet, they'll be getting in, Solid Snake is already going to be in there, all we need is the confirmation. After all three of them are announced, I have no clue who will be next, because we still have atleast a couple more characters after they are announced, because I remember reading somewhere the game will feature 20+ characters, so I'm pretty much clueless after the reveal of Ratchet and Clank and Solid Snake. Sackboy will probably be getting in as well, but I'm still not so sure about him yet.

Lengthy, but very informative. Sounds like more niche characters not able to make their way into the initial game could be introduced as DLC later down the road. With this method of continued support, the roster possibilities really open up. Kat would work well in this regard, still being relatively new but having a strong fan following.
