Post Alan Wake's American Nightmare (A First Boxart)

My first boxart, alot of work to and of course there's alot of things missing from the front, but any first impression or advice for improvement on the main part of the cover? Also, I'm using photoshop.

This has potential, no doubt. Firstly, I'd recommend tinkering with various adjustments (brightness/contrast, specifically) on the background, to better match up with Wake's own appearance. It's a bit washed out at the moment, and the added darker tones would also fit the theme of the game.

Okay, I'll look at the backgrounds contrast etc. Should I just focus on making it similar to the lighting of Wake's apprearance?

That could work. I like the texture effect you've applied to the background, but the resulting differentiation in lighting makes Wake look a bit out of place, unless the contrasts were intentional.

Okay. I'm going for a comic-esque theme. I'm looking at the contrasts now, any reccomendations for the lighting and contrast?

UPDATE: Fiddled with the contrast of the background and lighting.
    Flipped Wake.
Edited the overlay settings, now the logo looks alot nice.

Looking pretty damn good. The only thing that jumps out and bugs me is Alan's flashlight, But I assume you'll add a light bean from the end?

Thank you. I shall be adding that at the end because otherwise it'll look rather silly! Having some trouble deciding on what kind of border to use for my screenshots though.

This looks great, much better than my previous attemp at making an American Nightmare Box.
