The internet is getting too serious for me. That's why I like OFT so much, you get to be a little immature and it's fun.

I think the arguing about derogatory language has gone on just about enough. It's been established several times that the rule has been in place for some time and will always be in place, only now the rules will be enforced. Any other discussion about this topic can go to PM's, end of discussion here. Just don't use racial or flagrant terms and you won't have to worry about anything. Only reiterating what stevencho posted above, first are warnings and then there are further actions.
You're right in saying that this rule has always existed, but even with mods, it was much more lax. It's being reinforced a little TOO heavily. LK or Drakxxx or whoever used to not really care if you said fag, they were much more chill. @Cho, like I said, stop being so uptight about everything, it's just the internet, no need to be so serious.

I don't know, maybe you're right. It's been so long since we've had mods that I don't even remember. Well whatever, for the purpose of not contradicting my previous statement about the internet just being the internet, I'll just drop it. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, including you Cho. It won't happen again.

Reinforced too heavily? You mean, reinforced at all, dontcha? If we didn't need to enforce rules for the sake of the entire group, we surely wouldn't need moderators. And we have been in need of moderation for some time now.
I don't think stevencho or SP are acting too seriously. They have just now taken on the jobs of moderating a forum full of mostly teenagers, who are generally rebellious and unruly in nature.
Is it too much to ask that you give these two gentlemen a chance to get settled in before you start in on their moderating styles?
You can Google why that word is offensive. It's not even up to debate, it is for a fact offensive to someone. Whether it should be is another thing entirely.
Here is a link that was provided on the very first page while Googling for all those who truly want to know why it's offensive to some: http://www.mabeltalk.com/2011/01/why...d-even-if.html
